Easy Iced Matcha Recipe
Share
Life gets busy, especially with a little one keeping me on my toes, and I’m always looking for simple ways to pause and recharge. This iced matcha has become one of my favourite little rituals- easy to make, refreshing, and just the right kind of boost without the crash. Whether I’m working from home, chasing Nate around, or catching up with friends, it’s a calm and delicious moment I can sneak into any day. I’m excited to share how I make it- hopefully it becomes a favourite for you, too.
Ingredients
- High quality Matcha- I use Raw Nutrition by Soph
- 30ml of cream
- 20ml of milk of choice
- Coconut water
- A squeeze of agave to preferred sweetness
Method
- Add all ingredients in a bowl and whisk together until they become a foamy creamy consistency ( no longer liquid)
- Pour coconut water in a glass of ice 3/4 full and slowly pour the matcha foam on top.
Recipe Tips
- Make sure to use a frother or electric whisk- The key to smooth and delicious matcha is making sure it’s not clumpy or powdery.
- Start slowly with the matcha amounts- The recommended serving is one teaspoon. But if you’re a little unsure about the taste, try it with just half a teaspoon to help get used to the taste.
- Use high-quality matcha- Not all matcha is created equal! Ceremonial grade matcha is the best quality and has the most delicate flavour. It can be a bit pricey, but it’s worth it if you’re looking for the most amazing matcha flavour ever!
- Some milk options- Use whole or skim dairy milk, soy milk, almond milk, cashew milk, coconut milk, or oat milk in your iced matcha, depending on your taste. If dairy cream isn't for you, try lactose free or coconut.
Enjoy xx
